Wedding Cakes - Beautiful, Bespoke and Original

Traditional Summer Wedding

With a dusky pink theme and roses being the bridal flower choice, this was reflected in the cake design. An intricate lace pattern copied from the brides dress and a pearl drop edging to each tier made it a truly individual centrepiece for the wedding reception.

Contemporary Design

For this summer wedding, the bride had a very clear idea of how she wanted her cake to look. Incorporating the five colours she had chosen for the bridal party with a modern contemporary design rather than the traditional look. To cater for both bride and groom's taste the cake was made with 2 tiers in rich fruit cake and 2 tiers in chocolate cake. The result was just how she imagined! 

Seaside Wedding

Commissioned for a beach hotel wedding in a stunning location on the cornish coast overlooking St Michaels Mount, this was a cake with lots of personal touches. The bride and groom wanted a cake that could be used as the main dessert, so it was made in rich chocolate sponge with fresh cream and strawberry filling and topped with chocolate ganache. The icing flower bouquets reflect the bride's choice of flowers - fressias and daffodils. The cake stand was specially commissioned and custom made by us using driftwood and decorated with shells and individual flowers. Icing characters were also made to sit at the end of the stand, informally positioned and with all their 'favourite things' around them - the bride's knitting, the groom's surf board and flip flops, not forgetting the dog who was at the dog friendly celebration!

Traditional, Personal and a Touch of Fun!

Another bespoke cake for a fun loving couple wanting a traditional cake but with a bit of informality. The decoration reflected the colours and flowers of the wedding, the lace detail was copied from sections of the bride's dress. The cake was topped with a personal and amusing character cake topper of the bride and groom relaxing on the sofa enjoying their wedding cake, then finished off with models of the bride and groom's cats trying to join in the fun.

                  


Country Wedding

Made for a Victorian themed wedding. The reception was held in the beautiful rose garden of the family home. A single large tier cake with basket work design, each rose is hand made from icing to the same scale as the real thing! Flower colours matched the rich tones of the Victorian themed outfits worn by the bride and groom.

Farmers Wedding
A pre Christmas wedding, 3 stacked tiers with a tumbling bouquet of cream roses, ivy and miniature orchids. The wooden cake stand was specially commissioned and made by us with a matching plinth for the 'farmer mice bridal party models'. These were made from icing copying the colours and dress of the bridal party. Often requested as keepsakes, these can be made from icing or fired modelling clay.
